Company President, Donna Kohl

Donna Kohl has 30 years of diversified marketing experience, as well as a degree in marketing. Throughout her career, she has developed dozens of strategic and marketing action plans, produced text and conceptual design for hundreds of collateral pieces, coordinated website development and direct mail campaigns, handled media relations, and performed and analyzed data for surveys/feasibility studies, as well as conducted informal focus groups. 

In 2001, Donna, along with Judie Kavit started Accelerated E-commerce and Web Design, with a simple concept: provide customized, professional web design that either drives or complements the overall marketing scheme and offers the best SEO solutions to maximize the ROI.

Donna handles all project management for website design and asks each client the important questions to assure the company's online presence fits the specific business objectives and communicates the message perfectly.

Judie Kavit, Senior Web Designer

Judie Kavit has formal graphic design training and 11 years of web design experience. She has served as a web developer for PBS Kids Online and as the Director of Design & Development for Advanced Networks, Inc. before starting Accelerated in 2001.

She is skilled in web typography, accessibility, usability, color for the web, navigation, layout and optimizing images for the Internet.

Judie is proficient in html, css, cgi, php, flash, java scripting and photo manipulation. Included in her portfolio of work are sites for the PBS Kids Online, Teachers Source Area, Shop PBS, Beck Company Hotels (all websites), Health Research of Hampton Roads, Kinyo of Virginia, Stellute Law Group, and Wedmore Place.

Michael Skipper, Web Designer

Michael Skipper, while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from ODU, Michael is a webmaster for Virginia Beach City Public Schools. He recently played a major role in the redesign of their website and providing a more interactive website by designing user feedback applications such as live chats and user comment applications. Michael has earned his CIW Associate, Site Designer, and Professional certifications and has completed the Web Development Specialist career studies certificate program from TCC. In addition, Michael has designed several website for clients from Northern Virginia to the Outer Banks. He joined the Accelerated team in 2008.
